While aquarium design, installation, and maintenance will be our core business, we will still offer livestock and a selection of essential food and supplies. Our new location will feature a showroom to provide examples of the aquariums and cabinetry available as well as some of the installations we offer.  While our installation and maintenance business will continue uninterrupted, it will take us a short period of time to get the retail side of things up and running.

As the name implies, Old Town Aquarium was founded in 1975 in the heart of Old Town. Throughout the intervening 44 years, we have seen many changes in our neighborhood and in our industry. We’ve seen Old Town grow from being “rough around the edges” to a retail destination to a restaurant/bar hot spot. We’ve also seen our hobby change as online retailers have grown. We now have an opportunity to adjust our business model to reflect these changes.

While we will miss being a part of the Old Town neighborhood, we are very excited to make changes to our business that will allow us to thrive for the next 40 plus years!
